Mini Beach Pound Cakes

This recipe is brought to you from our friend Party Pinching! Using Mini Pound Cakes and just a handful of ingredients, this recipe is perfect for summertime! Ingredients:
1 Carton
Drake's® Mini Pound Cakes
1 Container Blue Frosting (buttercream is best)

1 Container White Frosting (buttercream is best)

3 Graham Crackers

Blue and White Pearl Sprinkles

Shell and Starfish Sprinkles


Supplies:

Butter Knife

Food Processor or Rolling Pin

#47 (Basketweave) Piping Tip, optional

#32 (small open star) Piping Tip, optional

Disposable Piping Bags, optional

Palm Tree or Beach Drink Umbrellas Decorations

Directions:

  1. After unwrapping all Mini Pound Cakes, use the #47 piping tip and blue buttercream frosting to pipe 3 rows of waves across half of the pound cakes to look like water. You can also spread the frosting with a butter knife.
  2. Next, crush the graham crackers with a food processor or rolling pin until they are fine.
  3. Using a butter knife, spread a thin layer of the white frosting on the other half of the pound cakes.
  4. Immediately sprinkle the graham crackers over the white frosting for sand.
  5. Next, pipe a line of white buttercream using the #32 open star piping tip between the "sand" and "water" on the pound cake.
  6. Lastly, add the beach-themed sprinkles and decorations of your choice!
